I googled 'second hand book art', and found Isaac Salazar. And I was thinking, oh I can do that. But really, it turned out much harder than I thought!

What would I need to give you to make a tutorial (step by step, with lots of images and explanations for dumb people) for this kind of technique?

Oh dear. That would cost me centuries. But I just found this link, might that be of use to you? m.youtube.com/watch?v=rjwiytGT….

Thank you. And it's even in German!
Hm. I thought there would be less cutting involved. I'm not sure I could do that to a book.

Maybe you can use an empty journal?

I found a solution. Only folding the pages and not cutting them works as well.

Ah. So you can read the book right after you're done! (AND after taking a picture, of course.)

=D No, no, I only use old books that would get thrown away anyway. I wouldn't be able to get past the first chapter (which is probably why they're thrown away). It's just that I couldn't cut a book. My heart would bleed.

Oh. .-. Isn't your heart already bleeding by getting blood to your whole body??

Can you make a video on how or what's the process of  doing this type of art.? How the idea came up and what kind of tools do you use? It's very amusing and interesting.

Good art! It's incredible how you can do a text by folding the papers. So, I'm sad because you're folded the book :-(, but I understand. :-)

if you went into any library... in the world... and did this, you would be flogged in front of the entire literary community.

Heck she should be flogged! I don't care if the book is second hand or 27th hand and falling to pieces, you don't treat books like this!

Really sorry you feel that way. To me, it is about rescuing books that would be in the thrash otherwise.

I rescued it from the discarded books of the second hand bookshop. It was really, absolutely, too old and worn to sell.
